Specific experience:
In 2004, I won two cancellation of removal for non permanent residents. They only grant 4000 of these in the United States a year. I had two Civil Jury Trials in 2005. Won an Administrative License Revocation Hearing for a DWI case in 2004, which allowed the alien to naturalize as a U.S. Citizen.
I won an adjustment of status case in conjunction with a waiver for two crimes involving moral turpitude. This is when the United States attempts to deport an alien based on findings that they have criminal convictions. I helped this client obtain his green card that enabled him to stay in the United States.
I was asked to be a speaker at a legal (CLE-Continuing Legal Education) seminar on immigration, specifically deportation/Removal at Thurgood Marshall's School of Law my alma mater in April 2007. Since early 2007, I in conjunction with an international team of lawyers have been representing multiple clients and victim’s families in two (7) complex international aviation crashes out of Indonesia, Adam air Boeing flight KL574, Garuda Boeing flight 200, Kenya Airways Flight KQ 507, in Doulla, Cameroon, TACA Airlines Airbus Flight 390 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, a Hawker Beechcraft 1900 C-1 Southern Sudan Air Connection, 2008, and Sudan Airways A310-324 Airbus Flight 109, 2008. Since 200I I have been very active in suing the FBI & US Immigration (USCIS) on behalf of alien-clients with year long stalled citizenship and green card applications due to pending FBI/Security Name checks and most of these cases which have been pending for 2-4 years get resolved in our clients favor 4-6 months after we sue the government. One of our cases in Columbus, Ohio got resolved in 3 weeks after we sued the FBI and USCIS! This year, in April we won a complicated deportation case for the spouse of a US citizen with several criminal convictions and had the immigration court and government attorney withdraw their removal grounds, thereby allowing our client to obtain his green card. In 2005, I won a 212(c) waiver application for a client in the Houston Immigration Court; I was his 4th and last Attorney!
